We began these blogs because we wanted to start a conversation. We wanted to provide a place where this community can come to check its own pulse, discuss the challenges in front of us and learn about solutions that are working to drive real lasting change.

We work at United Way of Massachusetts Bay & Merrimack Valley, but the postings on this blog are our own and do not necessarily represent United Way’s positions, strategies or opinions. We are speaking as engaged individuals who care about the quality of life in our community. We may not always be right, but we’ll make a point to correct inaccuracies as quickly as possible.

We encourage response and conversation. That’s a major reason why we’re here. We just ask you to keep it respectful. And we ask you to understand that we reserve the right to moderate comment suitability and may not be able to post every comment that comes to us.
