AGO launches blog on Heat and Utilitites

This fall, the Attorney General’s Office hosted a series of Winter Heating & Energy Roundtables to address issues of heat and utilities particularly in anticipation for the coming winter and growing cost of living. As it turns out, the resulting conversation overflowed the 4 part series and the Attorney General's Office having no more curvilinear furniture, decided to do the next best thing: They launched a blog.

There are only a few entries, but so far, I am a fan.  A few hints off their blog for residents on keeping the costs of heating bills down:

Other Appliances.  Shut down your computer and turn off other home electronics when they are not in use.  Unplug your small appliances – including televisions, DVD players, and kitchen
appliances – when they are not in use.  Consider switching off the appliances using a surge protector power strip, which is easier and has the added benefit of protecting the appliance as well.

First of all.  I'm presently violating pretty much all of those. So clearly I need some help.  I'll be interested to see how the AGO blog evolves as winter goes on.  Take a look and let me know what you think. As always, if you are in a situation where you need help with your bills or at risk of utility shut off, don't let it get to the point of crisis. Call 2-1-1 if you need help.
